The community of Eudunda was recently honoured in South Australian Parliament chambers for its achievements and the work of some impressive individuals in the region.
Following Member for Light Tony Piccolo MP's visit to the Eudunda Show on Sunday, November 10, he spoke in the House of Assembly last week about the success of the agricultural show and the vibrant community spirit on display.
"One of the joys of being an MP is that you meet a lot of community groups and you go to visit a lot of people in their communities," Mr Piccolo said.
"It is particularly heartening when you see some communities that seem to punch above their weight.
"One such community is, in my view, Eudunda, also known as part of the Valley of Hidden Treasures."
Mr. Piccolo had the pleasure of meeting several prominent Eudunda locals at the show, including Samuel Doering and Mel Zerner.
Samuel, a high achiever from Neales Flat, and Mel, the vice president of the Eudunda Community Business and Tourism Committee, are both involved in community initiatives.
