The Barossa Valley has been abuzz with the construction of scarecrows of all shapes and sizes, themes and memes, and now the quirky creations have been erected, ready for judging.
With a total of 89 families, individuals, groups and businesses having registered their creations as part of the Barossa Vintage Festival Scarecrow Trail, the community has been waiting with bated breath to get hold of the scarecrow trail map and view them all.
Not just for the kids - young and old love to have a chuckle at the wild and wacky creations that showcase the limitless imagination of Barossa’s community.
The very difficult task of judging the entries commenced on Sunday March 26, but the ‘People’s Choice Scarecrow’ is being decided by YOU, the public!
Voting closes on Friday, April 14, at 3 p.m., with the winner being notified by phone.
So, jump in your car this weekend after downloading your scarecrow trail map and take part in this self-guided tour.
Scarecrows will also be judged in the following categories: best residential scarecrow, best primary school scarecrow, random draw scarecrow, best business/organisation scarecrow, best child care/kindergarten scarecrow.
