Community Cash campaign begins

1 min read

Supporting local businesses and assisting readers with the cost of living is at the forefront of The Leader’s new Community Cash campaign, which launches today.

Our highly-targeted campaign is specific to the Barossa, with the aim of keeping shopping dollars local, supporting local employment and encouraging the preservation of family run businesses which have been serving the community for decades.

Manager of special publications at The Leader, Mr Jordan Stollznow said the advertising team understands the challenges that local business owners face and the challenges that confront our readers as they try to stretch their shopping dollars.

“Following on from our regular Shop Local formats, we wanted to continue our support of local businesses, while offering a vehicle for those same businesses to promote specials in their core areas of the Barossa.

“It is hoped Community Cash will echo the strong results of Shop Local and the possibility of winning $200 cash each week just for shopping at participating businesses is a bonus also,” Mr Stollznow said.

Aside from the obvious savings, each edition of the four-week campaign will feature interesting information about local businesses that you may not have known.

“It’s always fascinating to learn more about the people behind our local businesses, and whether they’ve been here for generations or are new to the area, everyone has a story to tell,” Mr Stollznow said.
