Young Ambassadors Present Community-Driven Projects

1 min read

After nine months of learning, networking, and personal development, the 2025 Barossa Young Ambassadors have reached a key milestone — presenting their personal projects, each designed to contribute to the Barossa region's future.

Peter Lehmann Wines hosted the Young Ambassador Project Presentations last week, in the lead-up to the Barossa Vintage Festival, with these projects reflecting the creativity and leadership of the 2025 cohort.

The projects addressed opportunities in tourism, hospitality, sustainability, workforce development, community well-being, and the arts.

Casey Miles, Chair of the Barossa Young Ambassadors, shared, "This is more than just a showcase — it's where each Young Ambassador brings their ideas to life. Their projects reflect a strong commitment to the Barossa and explore real opportunities for positive change."

James March, General Manager of Rockford Wines, the major sponsor of the Barossa Young Ambassador Program, added, "Rockford Wines is pleased to support a program that encourages young people to contribute positively to the region's future.

"The Young Ambassador Program helps uncover and develop emerging leaders and provides opportunities for them to develop the skills and connections to like-minded peers to help carry forward the values and traditions that make this region and its community and heritage so distinctive."

The Young Ambassador Program provides participants with hands-on experience, industry mentoring, and opportunities to contribute to the Barossa Vintage Festival, an event deeply connected to the region's history and identity.

With the presentations complete, the Young Ambassadors now focus on their roles for the Festival. They will participate in event planning, community engagement, and networking before the announcement of the Barossa Young Ambassador Award.
