Windy weather leaves a mess

1 min read

The Barossa Council Depot staff have been kept busy with last week’s windy weather leaving a trail of debris to clean up.

Staff have been inundated with calls to remove fallen trees, with about a dozen employees working overtime last week to keep on top of the clean up.

Damage was widespread, with more than 100 fallen tree branches, signs blown off their posts and doors damaged, leaving a repair bill of about $2,000.

The Barossa Council Director Works and Engineering, Mr Peter Bice said Council was responding to incidents as quickly as possible, assessing their severity and prioritising clean ups.
