White Ribbon game a first

Tanunda Football Club held a White Ribbon “Our Club Swears” day on Saturday with support from the Willaston Football Club and the Barossa Domestic Violence Action Group (DVAG). 

All senior players from both A-Grade and Reserves teams along with the umpires recited the White Ribbon oath while standing in front of a banner showing the oath at the end of the Reserves game just after 2 p.m.

Spectators at the ground were invited to join in swearing the oath, “I swear never to commit, excuse or remain silent about violence against women this is my oath.”
