A new chapter has begun for Carers’ Link with the appointment of new CEO, Mrs Vicki Williamson.
Taking over the reins from Gary Vogt, who retired after nearly 21 years with the Nuriootpa based service provider, Vicki is primed for the new challenge ahead.
“Gary has always been one to say, if you like it, do it!” said Vicki, acknowledging the former CEO’s friendship and support during her professional growth within the organisation.
The extra letter in Vicki’s job title moves her from Executive Officer into the chief position after starting out as a carer support and respite worker back in 1998.
She has worked her way through disability services co-ordinator roles and into management with a focus on quality assurance, risk management, policy, procedure and forms development.
The Moculta mother of two also oversaw the roll-out of the National Disability Insurance Scheme along with administrative, financial budgeting and reporting tasks.
“I’ve just about had every job there is possible to do at Carers’ Link!” laughs Vicki.
“I enjoy a challenge... I am looking forward to continuing the organisational focus that we started with our strategic plan some 12 months ago - one organisation, one name, equally representing the three regions.”
