He has gay friends, but Member for Schubert, Mr Ivan Venning says he won’t support a bill that approves same-sex marriage in this state.
Labor MP, Dr Susan Close tabled the bill to parliament last month, Mr Venning said in hindsight he should have asked for a division, acknowledging it is highly unlikely to divide a bill on the first reading.
“I won’t be supporting this,” said Mr Venning.
