Tanunda’s vision

1 min read

The community has until the end of this month to provide their thoughts on Tanunda’s draft urban design framework and mainstreet masterplan which could pave the way for development in the town for the next five to 20 years.

The Barossa Council commissioned the study in an effort to give a vision for the township and is expected to receive the final plan next month.

The aim is to make Tanunda a “Place for People” that supports business and provides a quality visitor experience.

Ms Patsy Biscoe, co-president of the Tanunda Town Committee, welcomed the plans saying the alfresco dining/café precinct is what they have been trying to achieve.

She said plans to calm traffic, particularly truck movement, was welcomed and looked forward to seeing the final plans.

“To maximise the rotunda and flowing to the Homburg garden and lawn area and turn it into a place where people can linger and enjoy is fantastic,” said Ms Biscoe.
