In 2024, the Barossa United Football Club (BUFC) is celebrating 35 years of kicking goals in the Barossa. 

The first inkling of a Barossa Football Club came in 1989, when Rory Champion’s neighbour had a child who wanted to play, but didn’t want to travel to Gawler to do so.
