Keen for a great escape or perhaps a trip to Queensland where it’s warmer?
You could have just that and more as part of The Leader Shop Local Barossa promotion.
Entries to the promotion which comprises a $10,000 holiday voucher through Phil Hoffmann Travel, Barossa Valley have already started rolling in and if you haven’t put your name in the box, after shopping at the participating stores, you have the entire month of June to enter.
The Leader initiative rewards community members for shopping locally with businesses in the Southern Barossa right through to Kapunda in the north, all part of the promotion.
The Leader marketing and sales manager, Mr Darren Robinson is excited about the new prize, saying the concept is much more than giving away a holiday, it’s about providing what he describes as a “tangible message” to educate shoppers of the need to look local first.
“We have reports that people who may have traditionally gone to Gawler or Elizabeth, have decided to shop locally because they saw they were a participating business - that is the ultimate pat on the back for us,” said Darren.
“It’s all about maintaining the wealth locally, creating that message about why it is so important to shop local, who it affects and creating some hype around the register!”
By shopping at the participating stores you can enter the competition with the winner to be drawn on July 1.
