New-look show attracts a crowd

1 min read

Angaston Show goers flooded through the gates on Saturday, as the former two-day event condensed into one jam-packed day of entertainment.

Blessed with “perfect” mid 20s weather, almost 2,000 people filled the oval to watch the wood chopping and magic acts, dance along to the music and taste the local delights.

There wasn’t a dull minute in the day, with entertainment beginning early in the morning and running right through to the evening.

Among the most popular events were the Fireflies Circus, Bop Til You Drop, sheering and log chopping.

Children were kept entertained with face painting, a magician and a science area, where they could make slime and water rockets.

Angaston Show president, Mr Mark Grossman said patrons had been pleased with the jam-packed programme, made possible by the axing of the second day.
