Mount Pleasant Men’s Shed lends a hand

Mount Pleasant Men’s Shed has come to the rescue of Ms Cheryl Johnson and her beloved animals after last month’s fire burnt through her Sanderston property.

A team of four men rebuilt 20 metres of fencing to keep her dogs from running free and also built a 3 x 6 metre horse shelter for her two horses.

“It’s given me back hope. It really has. I couldn’t have done it by myself. To be able to put my horses back where they’re happy. It means a lot to me,” said a very thankful Cheryl when the work was completed last week.

“Basically, I lost everything that wasn’t in the house. All the horse stuff, all the horse feed, chainsaws... everything that was in the shed that was burnt down,”...
