Minister Brock commits to continued support of RDA Barossa

Last Thursday in the Barossa the Hon. Geoff Brock, M.P., Minister for Regional Development received a rousing applause of support after he announced the State Government had decided to support the Federal Government and continue its financial support of Regional Development Australia Boards.

Speaking at the RDA Barossa A.G.M. held at Chateau Tanunda last Thursday, Mr Brock said it was important to support regional businesses and S.A. is the only state funding RDA’s jointly between State, Federal and Local Government.

Mr Brock then added that the State Government will continue this funding arrangement to 2020 as will the Federal Government.

Mr Brock said, “We have to align ourselves with our state’s priorities. This funding will add certainty to the RDA’s.

“My philosophy is about working together. I hear nothing but opportunities whenever I travel all over the state.
I go out and see first hand the issues.

“We have to change through passion and innovation. We want S.A. to be a place where businesses thrive and are socially prosperous.

“We need to create more jobs and I have so much faith in regional S.A. to achieve much of this success.”
