Nuriootpa Primary School’s massive re-development will finally begin in January, expected to take around a year to complete.
The re-development is made possible due to $7.5 million from the State Government, announced back in 2017.
This funding is on top of the recent $1.6 million towards the school’s STEM building.
Principal, Ms Jill Hess, said, “The school has had a re-development of nearly $9 million in the past 18 months!”
This project will include enclosing the junior primary area to form classrooms, replacing the roof across the entire site, further development to the middle primary classrooms, building new toilets, a brand new staff/admin building and updated library.
Indiviual air-conditioning will be installed in each room, and students will be able to work in their classrooms or in the new open areas together.
