“It’s an honour to win the award. It’s nice to be appreciated for the hard work you put in,” said Laura Saegenschnitter of Angaston.
Laura received recognition for her hard work and dedication as a swim teacher at a state conference last Sunday night.
She was awarded with The South Australian Austswim Teacher of Infant and Preschool Aquatics Award for 2016.
Austswim provides the opportunity to honour and identify those who are outstanding and contribute to aquatic education and water safety.
There were just eight different awards handed out to swim instructors across the state, with Laura taking out the only award for the Barossa.
Laura was nominated by a co-worker for her hard work at The Rex - Barossa Aquatics and Fitness Centre, where she works as a teacher, lifeguard and in the creche six days a week.
After she was nominated she attended the state conference and was announced as the winner of the infant and preschool award.
