Ken prepares for next chapter

He has been charged with managing the region’s biggest supermarket and has overseen the move to two locations but from next month Mr Ken Hodges will take on a new chapter after nearly 36 years with The Co-op.

Chatting to Ken you soon discover his passion and enthusiasm, not only for the supermarket but also The Co-op and the community.

Described as a big part of his life, Ken said he will miss many aspects about the position which he acknowledges as not just a job, rather his life for more than 30 years.

He’s not afraid to roll up his sleeves and help throughout the supermarket, from the check-outs through to customer enquiries on the ground and even clearing tables in the Co-op Cafe.

“It was a big decision and I felt the time was right for me to finish,” said Ken.
