In her first official role as patron of Barossa Area Fundraisers for Cancer, Mrs Peg Lindner was proud to have all proceeds from the Carl Lindner Collection Vintage Festival display go to Barossa Area Fundraisers for Cancer (BAFFC).
On April 24, Carl’s Jaguar motor vehicle collection was opened to the public. Peg said they were surprised by the level of interest for the first Vintage Festival open day in 2017 and were keen to do it again.
Carl’s first car for his collection, a 1932 SS Jaguar, was purchased in 1981 at a clearing sale in Kapunda.
Peg, who is now the custodian of Carl’s collection, said he collected ever since then and it was only when the collection was brought together at the property on Basedow Road, Tanunda that it was decided to put it all on display.
