Heavy rainfall has given farmers and grape growers renewed confidence heading into spring.
With many downpours in the region last week, farmers are confident there is enough stored moisture in the soil to make it through the warmer months.
Tanunda recorded 26mm of rain; Williamstown 44mm; Kapunda 20mm and Nuriootpa 14mm in the past week.
Freeling mixed farmer, Mr Damien Amery was thrilled to receive 25mm of rainfall, with previous downpours falling further north.
“It has been magnificent; it’s certainly put us in good stead for the rest of the year,” Mr Amery said.
