Peep Hill - Neales Flat Lutheran Churches and communities Christmas Eve service, 2024

Over 250 people attended the Christmas Eve service held at the Peep Hill Lutheran Church grounds, a night that was blessed with beautiful weather for the outdoor event.

The theme this year was, "Wise men still seek Him", and how people can all be wise men, women and children and still seek Him (Jesus) in our lives today.

Twenty three children and eight adults were involved in telling the events of that first Christmas night, through a live nativity re-enactment.

The Wise Men arrived first on stage to worship the child, now over two years old, at a house in Bethlehem along with his mother, with the Housekeeper telling the Wise Men about when Jesus was born in the stable, why Bethlehem was chosen, and all about the shepherds and angels.

The Wise Men in turn explained what they knew about the child, and why they had travelled over two years to seek Him and worship Him, and how they had seen the star rise in the east, and knew of its importance and followed it.

Many carols were sung throughout the service, and at the conclusion of the night, the children and adults enjoyed interacting with the pet sheep, cows, and donkeys and had a good catch up and chat with friends and visitors who attended.
