Double celebration for Marananga Brass Band

Representing the Heinze family: David Heinze, Jacob Heinze, Jo Ahrens and Lynette Luke. David, Jo and Lynette are great-grandchildren of August Heinze who was the first president of the first meeting of Marananga Brass Band while Jacob is the great-great-grandson of August Heinze.

Members of Marananga Brass Band had plenty of reasons for celebration at the Band Hall on Sunday afternoon. Firstly there was the Band's 100th Birthday Party and then the surprise announcement by Thomas Ludi, the Band's Conductor, that the South Australian Band Association had just named Marananga Brass Band the Band of the Year for 2024.
