Cheaper medicines for millions of Australians

Hundreds of common medicines may become cheaper in September, thanks to a Federal Government initiative, which should offer some relief to Australians juggling rising costs.

From September 1, patients may save up to $180 a year for medicines which can be prescribed for 60 days, instead of the regular monthly dose.

Concession card holders could save up to $43.80 a year per medicine.
