A Red Cross workshop on preparing for emergencies was held at Tanunda recently, with Valeria Anaya, Project Officer - EmergencyRedi, Community Resilience, discussing the importance of planning with the small but interested group which attended.

Valeria said, "A couple mentioned that they knew that they had to plan 'something' for emergencies. And after the session, they have a better idea on what their plan should include as well as to share the plan with family and friends.

"A key takeaway was that by sharing, they can learn how others are getting prepared and come with ideas that can benefit the whole community."

The Red Cross will organise free workshops for interested community groups and social clubs.
