Mount Pleasant Branch of the Country Women’s Association celebrated 90 years of the state organisation with a morning tea on Monday.
Held at the Mount Pleasant Soldier’s Memorial Hall, branches in the
Hills and Murray Group attended the morning.
Mount Pleasant CWA branch president, Mrs Di Anderson proudly said the branch is close to reaching 30 members.
While the state organisation started 90 years ago, it was in 1935 that the Mount Pleasant branch was formed.
According to Di, one of their biggest ways to fundraise is by way of providing food at the Mount Pleasant’s livestock markets each month.
The group also enjoy the social outings and look out for each other in between meetings.
