Two locals with considerable experience in the events and festivals space will lead the next Barossa Vintage Festival.
BVF Chair Carla Wiese-Smith said she was delighted to announce Maz McGann and Rebecca Reynolds as Co-Directors of the 2025 festival.
“When we commenced the expression of interest process for this role, we hoped to uncover some hidden gems within our community, and I think we’ve done just that – not once, but twice!” Miss Wiese-Smith said.
“Together, Maz and Rebecca offer significant shared knowledge in the events space which complement each other.
“They bring to the table a high level of strategic and operational expertise, innovation and creativity and, as an added bonus, they are both based locally, with strong connections in the region.
“I am particularly excited we have found two leaders who understand not only the importance of the Barossa Vintage Festival to our local wine industry and community, but also the invaluable role community plays in making the festival a success.
“Maz and Rebecca have hit the ground running this week and we are absolutely thrilled to have them on board.”
Ms McGann said she was looking forward to engaging with stakeholders in coming weeks.
“The Vintage Festival has a proud cultural history in the region and we are excited to deliver a festival in 2025 that lives up to this history and meets the expectations of the community and local industry,” she said.
“The strength of the Barossa Vintage Festival lies within its capacity to bring people, organisations and local businesses together to collaborate.
“We are looking forward to working with community organisations and local businesses to create a great 2025 Festival.”
Ms Reynolds is excited to help shape this important celebration of the Barossa
“We are delighted to have the opportunity to direct the 2025 Vintage Festival,” she said.
“We are so excited to share what makes our region special today – with our community new and existing, with business, with family, friends and visitors, be they local, intrastate, interstate or from overseas.”
Ms McGann and Ms Reynolds officially started in the role on Monday and will hold information sessions for businesses and organisations interested in hosting events in coming weeks.
