Event registrations for South Australia’s largest regional festival, traditionally held for the community to celebrate the end of harvest is open today through FringeTIX.
While this event has been held 74 times previously, Barossa Vintage Festival for 2023 (BVF23) will have a new feel, that speaks to the festival’s heritage but looks to evolve the festival with a fresh approach.
The new Festival Director for BVF23 will be Barossa raised, Ruth Blythman.
Ruth is a professional performing artist and event producer, who founded the respected production company Release Creative with business partner Zac Tyler back in 2013.
At the recent information night held at the Barossa Cellar, she announced the 75th anniversary as 'Old Roots, New Ways'.
Ruth said, “Festivals are a beautiful way to articulate a sense of place and identity.
“After growing up in Barossa and experiencing the festival as a patron, I’ve been humbled to learn more about how this event has continued to evolve over its 75-year history.”
New event categories have been planned for BVF 75th anniversary year.
Previous festivals have attracted over seventy events and more than 70,000 visitors to the region.
Event registrations are welcomed with interested businesses/groups invited to visit: www.barossavintagefestival.com.au/registrations.
