Armed hold-up in Kapunda

1 min read

The Prince Of Wales Hotel in Kapunda was robbed last Friday for the second time within the last two months.

At around 10.20 a.m. a man entered the Prince of Wales Hotel on Mildred Street, Kapunda.

The man was armed with a firearm, threatened staff and made off with cash.

Staff were luckily not injured during the robbery.

The man is described as 183cm tall with short scruffy brown hair, green eyes and unshaven.

He also has a full sleeve tattoo on his right arm and a barbed wire tattoo on his left arm.

The man was wearing a dark t-shirt, black Adidas track pants and black and white shows.

Owner of Kapunda Pizza Bar and Kapunda resident, Mrs Lizal Brown, believes the armed hold-up has put everyone on edge.

“It’s scary that we don’t know our own safety now,” she said.

“We’ve locked the back door and implemented a few safety procedures.”

Lizal is also extremely concerned that the offender could be local and can’t believe something like this would happen in their community.
