It’s a budget for the regions, especially the Barossa, says Member for Schubert Mr Stephan Knoll.

The region is set to benefit from a significant State Government Budget boost with roads and schools among the big winners.

It is funding allocations that have already been revealed – a roundabout at Kroemer’s Crossing, improvements to the Sturt Highway from Gawler to Renmark, upgrades to the Horrocks Highway and funds for Kapunda High School, Nuriootpa High School and Gawler and District College.

It is understood high on the works for the Sturt Highway will be at Truro and Accommodation Hill and there’s strong discussion around the establishment of a Truro bypass.

Spending at the schools will depend on the needs of the sites, but Member for Schubert Mr Stephan Knoll indicated it would support year 7’s going into high school.
