2019 Barossa Vintage officially declared

The wine fraternity Barons of Barossa has named Tim Smith, of Vine Vale as this year's Barossa Winemaker of the Year and Ben Zander, of Eden Valley as Barossa Vigneron of the Year at the 2019 Declaration of Vintage ceremony held in Tanunda on February 17.

Dr Michael McCarthy, Nuriootpa Research Centre's principal scientist, viticulture was presented with the Barossa Grape & Wine Association's Services to Industry award.

The Barons, Vintage Festival Young Ambassadors, Tanunda Town Band and Faith Lutheran College students formed part of a colourful procession from Tabor Lutheran Church to the rotunda at Keil Garden, adding to the celebratory atmosphere of the day.
