Weight loss changed Jacqui’s life

1 min read

Losing 58 kilogrammes and 29 percent of her body fat has completely transformed the life of Penrice mother of four, Jacqui Williams.

When Jacqui started her transformation she weighed 145 kilogrammes, had a resting heart rate of 120bpm and 55 percent body fat.

"Being at that weight is really debilitating in ways you wouldn't even think about until you've experienced it. You're not mobile and getting in and out of a car is hard," said Jacqui.

Now, she weighs just 87 kilogrammes, has a resting heart rate of 56bpm and 26 percent body fat.

To her, just going on a diet and exercising isn't going to lose weight. She believes it takes money, organisation and entire lifestyle adjustments to make it sustainable for years.

"Being overweight has such an impact on your mental and physical health, as well as quality of life. I don't think there's enough help and awareness out there," she said.
