>> Lou Boyle, Cameron Fraser, Barry Scheer, Eleanor Boon, Matt Lloyd and Trevor Snow are excited to reveal the new range of TORO high quality battery powered handheld equipment. The products are easy to use and maintain and customers are invited to visit the store for a product demonstration.

Tell us the story of your business? Who are the people behind your business, what makes you proud to be a business owner?

“We began as Total Eden in 2018 and then changed to Nutrien Water in 2020, and are part of the Nutrien Ag group, with over 700 stores across Australia, employing over 4000 people.

“We are a small group of six with over 100 years of combined experience in the irrigation industry from store manager Matt Lloyd, Cameron and Trevor looking after all sorts of field work with our apprentice Eleanor, and Barry and Lou keeping the shop running smoothly.

“Our approach for customers has been to try to give the right advice and do things the right way for the best possible price, and provide backup service where needed.”

In your opinion, why is it important now more than ever for locals to shop in the Barossa?

“Currently the Barossa grape growers are feeling the pinch, and vignerons generally spend locally and do their bit for the local economy, so we all should be doing the right thing and buying more local produce where possible.

“Our support for local people helps everyone in the community in some way and should never be underestimated.”

How does your business benefit the community?

“We try to be as cost effective as we can be for the end user of our products, giving everyone a better bang for their buck while not compromising on quality, and in a time where the cost of living is hurting everyone, people appreciate it when their dollar can go a bit further.”

What do you pride yourself on? What separates your business from all of the others?

“We treat everyone the same, if you just need advice or an opinion, five dollars worth of parts or $5000 you will get the same informed help from people who know what they are doing.”

What services do you offer to encourage customer loyalty?

“We think that our quality of customer service will bring people back, knowing we will do our best to help with each situation.”

What is the single biggest challenge that your business faces today?

“Getting locals to use the local shop and not think a big hardware store elsewhere will be cheaper, that is totally wrong, give the locals a chance.”

What specials do you currently have available?

“We run specials all of the time, our range of domestic pumps are always heavily discounted and our prices on Neutrog fertilisers like Rapid Raiser, Seamungus, Blade Runner and Sudden Impact are the best in the Valley.”
