Moculta’s Kym Jury continues to increase his super sedan racing experience, having just raced in Victoria over the weekend and this month preparing to travel to Tasmania.
In his third season racing super sedans in the speedway circuit, Kym continues to improve with aspirations of one day taking out a title.
Last season Kym scooped the pool at the State’s Super Sedan presentation night, a boost that also comes with new elements to his race car.
“I give myself five years before I win a feature race… it’s a tough gig,” said Kym.
“You are racing against guys with 20, 30 years experience… I definitely don’t have my head in the clouds.”
Half way through this season and Kym is yet to take on too many race meets in the state. Choosing to take on competitors at Avalon, Ballarat and Moana in Victoria to get into the early part of the season.
“The interstate tracks have more cars there and you are racing against the best in Australia so you are forced to get better,” said Kym, who concedes he’s now finishing races and holding his position on the track more and more.
