Iconic Seppeltsfield palms have been left charred after a grass fire took hold along the popular tourist route yesterday.
At 10.15 a.m. CFS were called to a blaze on property at the corner of Seppeltsfield Road and Peter Seppelt Road.
 Greenock CFS captain Michelle Mason said crews from three brigades attended the scene, with around 24 fire fighters extinguishing the fire within the hour.
