Finding a vein in patients who are undergoing cancer treatment or are in palliative care will now be much easier after a significant purchase was recently made by Barossa Area Fundraisers for Cancer and SA Health.
Barossa Area Fundraisers for Cancer, who contributed the $15,500, half of the total cost, spearheaded the purchase for the Accu Vein to be rolled out in Angaston, Tanunda, Kapunda and Mount Pleasant Hospitals.
Considered a "wish list" item, the new equipment is already being welcomed by staff and patients.
