Angaston Cricket Club’s A3 player, Thomas Jackaman, batted a record 267 score against the Nuriootpa A3’s at Moculta on February 16 and 23.
The big cricket hitter destroyed the opposition after contributing more than half the overall score for his Angaston team.
A self-confessed sixes chaser, Thomas managed to belt out 26 sixes, causing a stir among the opposition as well as his own team.
Thomas admitted he wasn’t done yet either, saying he would have kept going if the team wasn’t out of overs.
“I actually felt pretty fresh. I could have kept going but that’s alright… We ended up winning with 438, we won by over 200 runs. I still don’t really believe it,” said Thomas.
“I have only started batting last season, so to come out and score that is pretty big.”
Angaston A3’s are currently sitting on the top of the ladder in their division with Nuriootpa hot on their tails.
