Tanunda based, Barossa Glass received a number of accolades at the recent Australian Glass and Glazing Association and are now the second accredited company in the nation.

Presented on the night as runners up in the commercial up to $50,000 for the art deco mirrors in the function room and the glass fencing around the beer garden, created at the Vine Inn Barossa Community Hotel, Nuriootpa, Barossa Glass also received an advanced course in safety and to top it off, owner, Jerome Semmler was recognised as a master glazier, having worked hard over the last 12 months successfully completing components in skills, compliance, safety and technical aspects.

He and wife, Nicole are proud of the achievement and what it now means for the family owned business.

“It’s all about working towards becoming an accredited company,” said Jerome.

“Ongoing training and audits to ensure a high level of standards.”

For Barossa Glass, as a member of the Australian Glass and Glazing Association and with the accreditation, it gives them an edge when it comes to consumer choice on a domestic and commercial level and tendering for major projects.
