2017 Barossa Vintage Festival Guide launched

Mr Chris Pfeiffer, Chairman of Tourism Barossa officially welcomed guests at an informal gathering at Seppeltsfield Wines last Tuesday to launch the online 2017 Barossa Vintage Festival Guide.

Mr Pfeiffer said he was thankful that so many people have got behind next year’s Festival.

Ms Cathy Wills, Regional Tourism Manager said next year is the 70th Festival. She paid tribute to Mr Colin Gramp who initially said we want to start the Festival to showcase our wine, food and culture and Ms Wills thought is wonderful that the same concept is still used today.

Mr Andrew Dundon, Barossa Vintage Festival Director said as the 70th Anniversary of the Festival next year events will be about bringing people to the region.

It will be all about handcrafting and even using the ancient art of letterpress printing for posters as part of the theme.

Twenty-seven partners are supporting next year’s Festival which will celebrate traditions of the past 70 years but also celebrate the now with events. Many of the usual Festival attractions will return again for next year.
