Meals on Wheels celebrate long term volunteers

Meals on Wheels Barossa Valley celebrated their long term volunteers at on October 18, when volunteers who have been with the organisation for one, five, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years were acknowledged and awarded for their services. 

Volunteers who have contributed to Meals on Wheels for 40 years were awarded with an Engraved Plate and flowers. Recipients were: Doreen Brine, the late Shirley Kowald and Lilli Scheer. 

Clarice Williams received a badge for her 35 years of service. 

Peggy Guyatt and Deirdre Holmes were awarded for their 30 years of service with an engraved clock and badge.

Twenty-five year recipients were awarded with a badge. Awardees were: Lynette Brew, Jennifer Evans, Susan La Nauze and Helen Zeunert.

Peter Emery and Elizabeth Sibley were awarded for their 20 years of contribution to Meals on Wheels. They each received an engraved pen and badge.

Those who reached 15 years of service gained a life membership. The recipients were: Sandra Button, Margaret Meertens, Janelle Miegel, Janene Rogasch, Maryke Sinkinson, Cynthia Spehr and Margaret Spike.
