Angas Park site sold

The former Angas Park Fruit Company site in Angaston has been sold with the release of housing allotments among the new owner’s plans.

Adelaide based developer/investor real estate company, RV Jordan Property are now managing the site on behalf of the purchaser.

Plans have been lodged with The Barossa Council for the rural living portion of the sale to be sub-divided into seven, one hectare allotments with the developer expected to also finalise plans over coming months for the town centre part of the site which includes the shop/showroom, offices, factory and a portion of the carpark.

RV Jordan Property said plans for the town centre part of the site are yet to be finalised but they include the possible demolition of parts of the property and the refurbishment of the remaining parts for either reletting or resale.

Mr Steve Falland, Angaston Community and Business Alliance chairman, welcomed the sale.

“It is a very positive outcome after all the waiting and wondering and I am pleased to see it is in the hands of someone with a commercial mind to develop it,” said Mr Falland.
