Youth bus gains momentum

The regional youth bus, a collaborative project with Local Government and Barossa Lower North Futures, is steering young people in the right direction according to Mr Wayne Perry, industry engagement officer.

The bus is being shared between five partnering Councils, Barossa, Light, Goyder, Mallala and Wakefield as it offers a safe place for young people to hang out but also tap into valuable tools to help them through life.

The regional youth bus website has recently been launched to also help young people source trustworthy information on varying topics including health, careers, study/learning and community.

Wayne said the bus has been on the road for 29 days over the last 10 weeks and has been accessed by 427 young people.
