Kellermeister celebrates helping raise $50,000 for Children’s Burns Unit

Southern Barossa based winery, Kellermeister, Lyndoch celebrated the opening of a children’s burns bathing room at the Children’s Burns Ward of the Women’s and Children’s hospital on Tuesday last week – the result of $50,000 Kellermeister helped
raise through its support of the Fire Fighters Foundation charity’s “Shake the Boot” initiative.

Kellermeister owner and winemaker, Mr Mark Pearce said it was an absolute pleasure to support the cause.

“The work that the nurses and doctors do in this ward is truly great, they are some of the unsung heroes in our community who, through their dedication, make many sacrifices to do such a worthy work,” said Mark.

“Billy Boyle does a super job seeking out support for the Foundation in between firefighting shifts, time which he gives freely and generously, and my support through Kellermeister is small compared to the work of guys like Billy who drive awareness and those who physically and emotionally help the kids every day,” said Mark.

Mark said it was very satisfying to see the shiny, bright upgraded spaces and equipment that the Foundation has funded and that it was an honour to have helped support such a worthy cause.
