Letter of Thanks Emergency Services

Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to take the opportunity to express my thanks and gratitude for the lifesaving work that our Barossa emergency services and first respondents provide in our wonderful community on a daily basis.
The emergency medical services system consists of selfless emergency physicians, emergency medical technicians, nurses, paramedics, volunteer ambulance officers, CFS, SES and first responders who continually go above and beyond the call of duty when that call for help comes to them.

We are fortunate in the Barossa to have an integrated network of emergency responders that works collaboratively to ensure that those in need receive the highest level of emergency care in a timely manner.
These teams are staffed by highly trained professionals, and volunteers who respond in the time of need 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

I first handedly experienced this on Wednesday night the 18th of June after a motor vehicle accident on my way home from work on the Angaston to Nuriootpa road in which I was very lucky to have survived. I am truly grateful for the prompt, professional level of care I received from all that attended the scene, including witnesses and those first to the scene.

Our community should take comfort and pride in the fact that those who arrive at your home or at the scene of an accident are highly trained caregivers who have the equipment and capability to handle any type of emergency. These individuals are prepared for whatever emergency need exists and are dedicated to delivering high quality, pre-hospital care anywhere, anytime and often under difficult and unpredictable circumstances.

Rapid access to quality emergency care dramatically improves the survival and recovery rate of those who experience sudden illness or injury. For that I know I’m very thankful for the work these individuals perform.

Thank you so much to all who helped.
