Barossa’s new Health Cluster welcomed

The Barossa and surrounding areas will be the better off following Monday night’s decision to form a Barossa Local Health Cluster under the Country North SA Medicare Local Office in Nuriootpa.

It was a well run meeting led by Mr John Curnow, Board Member, Medicare Local Country North S.A. and Ms Suzanne Mann, Manager, Community Engagement, Medicare Local Country North S.A.

Pleasing too was the number of committee nominees who put their name forward to help commence this new local organisation.

To most people health is a major priority in our life and it is good to see our government supporting this new endeavour.

The new Barossa Local Health Cluster will be able to not only influence matters of health in our region, but also help to source funding for this development.

Having local people involved will provide first hand knowledge of what needs are required.

Who knows. Perhaps this might even be the start of a new Barossa Hospital in the making!
