New $5,000 Mini Cutter for Nuriootpa C.F.S.

Nuriootpa C.F.S. now has another modern piece of equipment to assist their dedicated volunteers involved in rescuing people in car crashes.

Thanks to Vine Inn Barossa last Thursday night Nuriootpa C.F.S. were presented with a new $5,000 Mini Cutter, designed to cut away pedals inside cars involved in vehicle crashes.

Mr John Feltus, Chairman and Mr Chris Linden, General Manager of Vine Inn Barossa, jointly made the presentation to Nuriootpa C.F.S. Captain Shane Atze.

The Vine Inn Barossa representatives explained that Nuriootpa C.F.S. is the main callout unit in the Barossa when it comes to motor vehicle crashes.

They said immediately after the recent disastrous Barossa bushfires, they approached the C.F.S. to establish whether any of their equipment had been damaged or lost and whether they required any financial assistance so that they would be all okay for fire fighting equipment should more fires break out.

At the time they advised that all their equipment was in good working order and were adequately equipped to fight any further fires.
