Tanunda Show shines

The 101st Tanunda Show has entered its second century with style following record attendances at Saturday’s event.

The sun shone on a day filled with activities for all ages, as families filed through the Tanunda Recreation Park gates eager to be part of the spectacle.

A jam packed programme ensured there was never a dull moment for show goers. Children watched in wonder at the clown roaming around on stilts, adults enjoyed the region’s wines and menu in the Magpie Cafe and families enjoyed ice creams and typical show fare to the music of local musicians, Very Jane performing in the entertainment tent.

Secretary of the Show, Mrs Debbie Miles was happy with the turnout and was especially pleased with entries into sections that many thought would be affected by the heat wave.

“We were really pleased with the produce section this year, we thought with the hot weather they would be down, but they were surprisingly good,” she said.
