Weintal manager helps to relive Titanic disaster

History was literally brought to life at the Barossa Weintal Hotel/Motel, Tanunda last week when Venue Manager, Mr John Cowled kindly organised some of his Titanic memorabilia on display as part of Fringe in the Barossa.

An entire room at the complex was converted to host Mr Cowled’s display which attracted several hundred onlookers, including a number of young children.

The display featured large prints of the famous ship which sank after hitting an iceberg on April 15, 1912. There were newspaper articles of the time, even post cards supplied with crew member’s original signatures.

An interactive DVD which Mr Cowled helped produce, proved extremely popular as visitors were able to track photos and names of people and happenings on the ship.
