Bring back the Barossa trains

A petition signed by 990 people calling on the State Government to reinstate regular passenger train services to the Barossa has been tabled in State Parliament.

The petition was organised by Truro resident Dot Whyte and friend Robyn McMullen, and has been signed by a wide range of people including locals and visitors to the region.

Local MP, Mr Tony Piccolo, who tabled the petition, said he would refer the petition to the Minister for Transport Services to look at what opportunities exist to expand the region’s public transport services.
