Petition calls for parking limit

A petition circulating Nuriootpa businesses is gaining support from shoppers who struggle to find a carpark in the main street.

Barossa Burger and Café owner, Ms Julie Turley is leading a campaign to discourage business owners and staff from parking in the township’s main street and for The Barossa Council to introduce an hour time limit in Murray Street.

She has gained support from a number of businesses including  Chemplus One owner, Mr Guy Ewing and Thorpy’s Never Ending Bargains owner, Mr Colin Thorp.

They believe there is plenty of carparking in the main street area particularly behind a number of businesses and the Soldiers’ Memorial Hall.
