$50,000 to help signpost the Barossa

Barossa food, wine and tourism businesses are set to benefit from new signage to guide visitors through the region, thanks to $50,000 from the State Government.

At Seppeltsfield on Saturday for the Barossa Gourmet Weekend, Minister for Agriculture, Food and Fisheries and Regional Development, Ms Gail Gago said the Barossa is Australia’s most celebrated and recognised wine region, and the new signage would help tourists explore the wonders it holds.

“Along with its famous wine, the region is also gaining a reputation locally, nationally and internationally as a premium food region to come and experience,” Ms Gago said.
