Thieves steal nursing home generator

Thieves put aged care residents at risk when they stole a nursing home generator used to back up life support equipment.

Tanunda Lutheran Home employees discovered the $8,000 generator missing from a locked shed on Langmeil Road last Tuesday.

The generator went missing between July 31 and last Tuesday; discovered by the maintenance team during a monthly preventative maintenance check.

Screws were removed from the shed door and Maintenance Manager, Mr Danny Harkin said at least three people would have been required to lift the 300kg generator.
